The Pangolin

The mystical Sunda Pangolin Manis javanica snuffles through the dusky forests of Southeast Asia in search of juicy termites and ants. With an armour of scales and a kind face, the Pangolin snoozes in tree hollows by day, curled up to protect its soft underbelly. Heavily hunted and the worlds most trafficked mammal - danger is ever near for this nocturnal creature.

IUCN Red List Status:

Critically Endangered
