Our story...

Creature Candy was created to raise awareness of Britain's declining & protected wildlife species, to inspire people to take active roles in conservation and to help raise funds for the charities that endeavour to conserve our wildlife. Creature Candy proudly donates 10% of the sale price of every product sold to over 20 different British wildlife charities.

With each online purchase we provide information about the species on the product, along with details about the related charity. All our products are designed or made in the UK and we firmly believe in supporting UK businesses.

To find out more about the wonderful conservation projects we are able to fund as a result of the donations generated from our customer’s purchases, take a look at our Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and blog pages.

MEET OUR TEAM

Lizzie Barker - Founder & Director

Lizzie graduated with a first class degree in zoology from Aberystwyth University in 2010. After working for four years as a licensed consultant ecologist specialising in bats, Lizzie found a gap in the market for a brand which not only offered a range of timeless, stylish, British-made products, but one that also raised awareness of Britain's declining wildlife species and raised money for the conservation of these species. Lizzie launched the Creature Candy website in February 2015.

Lizzie lives in Shipston-on-Stour with her husband Sam, son Jack and daughter Holly. Lizzie plans to launch lots of new products and designs over the next year, and therefore support new charities and more conservation projects.

Jo Medlicott - Illustrator

Jo is the creator of all the wildlife illustrations that feature on Creature Candy’s products. Jo says:

“I am delighted to be a part of Creature Candy as I have long been a lover of animals and wildlife. From a small child I have always enjoyed drawing and sketching, especially animals, and I am thrilled that my illustrations are now helping to support and save many of the endangered species that are threatened within our beautiful country. I look forward to creating more designs and continuing to support British wildlife charities.”
